Nintendo WII beats Xbox 360 in Australia
Nintendo WII is the fastest selling game console in Australia than Xbox 360.
The record breaking promotion of 32,901 units in 4 days nationwide of Nintendo WII
Made a history. The last record was of Xbox 360 which sold its 30,421 units in 4 days.
Although the Wii's price tag is cheaper than that of the Xbox 360 - $399.95 compared with around $650, respectively - Nintendo makes a profit on every Wii sold, while Microsoft makes a loss. It is too early to say a comparative figure for the Wii, but GfK figures show initial Wii games sales to be high.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess title for Wii was the best selling game last week, despite only going on sale on the day when Nintendo wii was launched.
